Usually parts have to freighted.... Some Trim parts might be hard / expensive to find, but the mechanical parts are fairly available...
Its MIGHT be SLIGHTLY risky to have an E9 as your main daily driver / road trip car (I guess that's way it has a tool box in the trunk).
Remember your are buying a 30 year old car and parts will fatigue and fail at some point...
