one question: where do you live? I ask because coupes tend to melt when exposed to rain/water on a regular basis, and they are totally salt intolerant. If you live in the salt belt, your coupe daily driver will be oxide in a couple of years.

My own daily driver weighs 19 pounds and has 14 speeds, but for a few years, a 2800CS was my only four-wheeled ride. If you have any mechanical aptitude at all, the motor and drivetrain are pretty bulletproof, really easy to take care of and parts are never more than a day or two away. The key is to know which parts tend to fail, and carry spares (fuel pump, water pump, etc). That said, I never had the car go down on a single one of many 100 to 800 mile road trips.
