OK I exaggerate a bit, but really these cars run best if they're driven, reasonably hard, and reasonably regularly. If you only drive it below 2000rpm on the 3 mile trip to church once a week, then the engine tuning goes bad, the brakes slowly seize, the windows stop working - it's a disaster! I think they're like people - if you lie in bed for a week you'd be stiff too!

The mechanical engineering is 1st class (slight caveat over 70's cylinder heads excepted), and they are so much better for being driven.
