I put poly bushings on mine that I got from (gasp!) JCWhitney. Ground the bracket to fit.

Recently tried to replace the sway bar bushings on my 72 3.0cs (euro) and found that the sway bar is aftermarkey and much larger. About 1.5in vs .75in (can get exact measurement but not at my house right now). My Mechanic could not find and Bushings that would fit around the bar and also into the car. Those that fit around the bar were too thick and could not be installed. Does anyone have ideas for suppliers of bushings that would fit.

If not, is it possible to modify bushgings in any way, how accurate do they have to be. could they be ground or shaved to fit?

Thanks
