Really, though, as is oft quoted (by some):"it's your car." Do as you see fit. Purists may scoff, but I doubt valuation of your coupe, unless it's a CSL, will drop much by coloring outside the lines - hot pink or purple passion might turn some folks off, though.

The photo above is of a coupe at a show out East last year that was painted an E3 color, Baltic Blue, that everyone raved about, and I doubt dropped its "value". The photo doesn't really do it justice - it had a pretty purplish glow in the right light.

The stock color range is pretty broad, though. What color did you have in mind?
