Bleed brakes. (archive)

I bought one of those self brake bleed pumps, my first try was a fiasco. Probably the sequence Rear-Front bleeding of the brakes doesn't work on my CS. So I will go to my old stand-by "honey can you pump". Also found one of my bleed valve loose and will not thread into the brake, can I use a larger size bleed valve?. (Did switch valves) thinking it was cross-threaded, same problem it will not engage in the brake caliper housing.
