weekend work for SF Bay Area scroungers (archive)

Pat Hines found a 1980 528i with 5-speed at the Pick-n-Pull yard in Newark, CA. We're both passing on it because of time constraints, but it is the ideal weekend for the job -- half off everything at Pick-n-Pull this weekend. I think that works out to less than $100 for trans, shifter, slave, etc.
