Steve, I have just recently done the rounds for all four shocks. All of mine were completely shot - the front were at least 15 yrs old, and the rear had a Ford badge on them !! (ouch). I considered Bilsteins and Konis all round - too expensive all at once. So, I have Boge ( orig spec) in the front and Konis in the rear.

The rear shocks were the difficult ones to find - I tried everywhere ( trying to keep costs down) and the Konis were the only ones available that fitted. If you fit them, make sure that they are adjustable. Also, they are a breeze to fit.

I have the part # for the Konis somewhere, email or call me if you need. ( PS they are great)

Rob.
I've searched the archives and can't find the right advice.

This morning I broke a rear shocker. While reversing at less than 10 kph across a kerb, the right hand rear shock absorber shaft snapped clean. Nothing under the car appears to have broken to allow the rear end to move and the upper and lower mounts are fine so I'm at a bit of a loss to explain it..
But its bought forward the replacement of the shockers I had planned.

I'm thinking of Koni's but want to retain the standard ride height on my 73 CSi. The car is driven on the streets only I'm not going to do any club racing.
Can anyone suggest a shock model to use?
TIA
Steve
