Carbureted cars originally came with Zenith carbs. Weber 32/36s are a very popular conversion. DGAVs would be water chokes, but you can easily convert to electric chokes, making them DGEVs. You'd also get rid of four potential sources of hose leaks.

As far as being the right ones, the right carbs are the ones you like best. There are also Weber 38/38s, which are syncronous carbs, meaning both barrels feed the engine simultaneously, unlike the 32/36s, which are progressive.

Another option is triple sidedraft Weber DCOE 40s, which are also synchronous. I just happen to have a set of those for sale!
