Picked up a set of tapered base lug nuts at the BMW dealer today (PN 36 13 1 113 132). Thinkin' I might return them. They're pretty rough looking unchromed steel with a little round pressed sheet steel cap.

Crap.

Is there a different part number that anyone knows of for the old chromed nuts? I cringe at the thought of calling KSK for decent nuts.

Try Gorilla Automotive, they have a limited web page with a downloadable catalog in Adobe Acrobat format which lists tons of lug nut types. They have nuts with politshed stainless steel outer hexes.
