The 265s used in '82 and '85 have a block off plate over the hole where the speedo drive goes and a spacer on the output shaft where the speedo drive gear goes. These parts can be swapped from just about any Getrag trans that has them, including 4 and 6 cylinder 4 and 5 speeds.

What is nice about having the speedo drive on the diff is that one doesn't have to change anything in the speedo when you change diffs. Too bad this stuff doesn't bolt into the earlier cars!
