the windows open, or you haven't discovered the "buttons of mystery" under the dash. There are two buttons under the dashboard, to the right of the steering column, yellow and green. The left one is the defroster - the right one is the hazard lights.

Good chance, however, that it won't work, as the electrical conducting paint on the window wears and chips over time. I hear you can buy paint to sort this out, or you can just think it's charming and live with it (works for me).
