advise please.

i'm looking for an in-dash cd player/(or cassette) and cd changer. Any recomendations for a particular brand/model??

i was going to look for a used combo from a 1990's 3 or 5 series. Has anyone tried this? will it fit? any problems i should anticipate? i'm assuming these units come with apms, is this a correct assumption? if so do they have adequate power?, if not do they come with amp outputs?

i'm aware of the fact that i'll have to cut the a/c, stereo faceplate.

i'm interested to know if anyone can recomend their set-up to me, (limited budget).
