Very timely post as I just got my vents back from CV Platers. Merdad, do you have a picture of the vents with the tape in place? Is it just your ordinary black Duct tape?

'70 2800CS with chrome-like vent grills


I used black duck tape which is also a bit textured and looks like vent grills, and it is also the right width. But, I think they said the tape used for outdoor signs are the best, since it doesn't shrink. Mine hasn't shrink either for over four years now.
