IMHO, i think calling it "white" is a little misleading. if i'm not mistaken, it's ever-so-slightly darker than white. more "bone" or "ivory."

mercedes from that same era offered a parchment color that's probably too dark, but still not too far from the so-called BMW "white."

remember, your computer monitor may be deceiving as well.
