I'm not too sure about the M5. It's alot bigger and less versatile in traffic than the M3. Also, not sure you are getting that much more value for the $75-80K. Been spending some time in a 540i and always anxious to get back to my '95M3. I'm afraid if I did get the M5 and then want the E46 M3, that would be a 20% loss of that $80K which is alot of money.
