K&N Filter installed....questions! (archive)

I just installed the K&N filter in my '97 M3. I remember reading in this board, that aftr installation, the car will sound louder! well, it wasn't as loud as i though, but did notice an increase in sound when i floor the car. Should i expect the car so sound louder after a few miles? Also, is it me or does the car have a better acceleration? hope i'm not too excited about my filter!

Anyone wanna shed some light here?
