: Insurance U don't need no stink'in insurance...long as U keep it on the black stuff. Check your policy for any clauses or restrictions. Chances R you won't find anything remotely applicable 4 Driving Schools. What U R likely 2 find is a clause excluding 'competition' events. Driving Schools R not competitive and therefore can not b exluded by this clause. There must b specific language excluding Driving Schools 4 U not 2 B covered. Read your policy carefully...
: Should the policy have the standard 'competition' clause U R covered. Granted if U bend your car they will probably try and weasel out, but stand firm. I am not aware of any insurer successfully denying a claim from a Driving School. It's not that they haven't tried either. U should fully expect 2 B dropped by your insurer @ renewal time. I would shop 4 another carrier prior 2 your claim being settled... Many times the insurer will simply fix the car once and advise U not 2 participate in such events again. Fortunately 4 us this advice does not alter the policy so they R still on the hook.
: As 4 auto...run what U brung! U will have a great time!!!!
Thanks a lot for your post. Much appreciated. This changes everything! I really would like to attend some of the schools, but due to circumstances I can't take a risk on being not insured and having to pay everything myself in case I mess up or someone else takes me out! Again... much appreciated.
