I apologize if somebody has already said this...

If you live in a climate that gets snow, you really can't run on the stock m3 tires during the winter. Mine came with Michelin Pilots, slicks with grooves...

I called the Tire Rack and bought a set of Pirelli Winter 210's mounted and balanced on Mille Miglia Glide II's. I spent about $1,200 on the whole enchilada and the car's great in snow...
