In Reply to: What a fair price for my 95 10 Spoke Wheels? posted by SRT on March 12, 1999 at 09:00:30:

: I'm interested in selling (4) 10 spokes for a set of aftermarket knockoff Contours by ATP (They're a great deal at $170/piece). My car has 30,000 miles and three of the four are in great shape (one is out of round) but I will exchange it with my spare so there will be four great wheels. What is a fair price for these wheels?

: Thanks in advance

It is really hard to say what something is worth and what is market value. Here's an example that I went through. My buddy who owns a wheel and tire shop had a "take-off" set of 10 spokes (staggered) from a 97 M3 that he sold to me for $1200 (what he had in the deal). I put my 95 10 spokes for sale on the internet and got $1400 for them. This was 2 years ago and the 95 M3 wheels were a hot commodity for 325/328 owners. This really brought up the market value of the wheels. After that I helped him sell several sets of M3 "take-off" wheel packages and it got harder and harder to sell them because of the staggered setups (10 spoke and contours) on the market. So to make a long story short your wheels are probably worth somewhere between $800-$1000. Don't take less than $800...you'll find someone to buy it.
