: I've got a 98 M3 w/ 15K miles. I've already blown through the rear tires, but the fronts have some tread left. However, the inside of the tires have about twice as much rubber as the outsides (which is probably down to a millimeter or two). When I was getting some other stuff doen at the dealer, I had them check the allignment (even though the car doesn't pull or stear weird). They said the allignment was out a tinny bit and corrected it and assured me that the uneven wear was stricktly a result of aggresive driving. The place where I got my new rear tires assured me that the opposite was true - that aggresive driving would not cause such a severe wear and that it must be some type of allignment or camber problem. Who is telling the truth?
