Won't get in the car without it. Can confirm (in last three years) that I have been saved from one definite ticket. (90 on the interstate, parallel with a Caddy. Detector goes off. I slow down to 65. We pass cop. Cop pulls out. Cop pulls over Caddy.) All other times I may have been saved--hard to tell if they have radar on just to make you slow down.

Like others say, it not foolproof. I refer to it as the third eye. Helps you find cops. You still need to use your wits with detector. And a moonroof for spotting helicopters.
