Glad to note that you are going forward. Best of luck. I still have reservations about Subaru cars but then my reservations are pretty baseless - more to do with brand, etc.
Keep us posted. Cheers
I hope you are also posting on Subaru boards or other boards where you can market this besides the M3 boards.
: Hi all,
: some of you may recall my post a while back indicating my interest in setting up an aftermarket store for Subarus. Well, I contacted the MINTEX brake pads and kits rep (MINTEX is part of Mannesman Sachs BTW) here in the US to get high perf pads for the "shop" , and he's sending me pads to check out on my M3 (even though I requested Subaru pads. Long story...).
: They make a fast road compound, M1144, that he's sending me a sample of. Would anyone here be interested to know of the results? Also, would anyone be interested in purchasing them if the results are good? (BTW I was told that MINTEX makes the OE pads for BMW (at least in Europe)).
: Those of you who are interested email me and I will keep you updated of my trials. Just an FYI, the pricing should be comparable to the OE parts pricing (at least that's what I was told). Supposedly the advantages are larger temp range, higher friction coeficient (0.44-0.46 for you techies), and better heat absorption characteristics. Oh, and less dust!
: Again, let me know, and sorry for the long post.
