: The heating elements do burn out easily. I had both of mine replaced under warranty so I couldn't tell you how much it costs.

: : I have a '95 M3 and for I have experienced uneven heating from the seat warmers. Now, the uneven heating has changed to no heat at all. I know it'll be costly to get it repaired but has anyone experienced this problem? I haven't check my fuse box yet but could ther be any other reasons why it is not working anymore.

I've lost track of how many times I had to have the seat heaters replaced - fortunately under warranty. And I only weigh about 150! My service writer admitted that this is a chronic problem with the 3 series cars.
