Please scan thru previous posts to this discussion board for info on this topic ad nauseum...
But in short:
1) there will NOT be a 2000 E36 anything. The last E36 M3 coupes are already discontinued, and the last E36 body will be the M3 Convertible ending sometime in Sept.
2) there will NOT be a 2000 M3 anything. The 2001 E46 M3 will be an entirely new car available maybe end of 2000 or sometime in 2001 as a 2001 or later MY.
3) discounts on 99 or 00 M3? Good Luck!! If you can find a dealer that can't seem to get rid of a 99 model, maybe they would deal. Negotiate price on a non-existent 00 car? Never happen.... The only time you can really negotiate a decent deal on any car, regardless of M3 or not, is when the dealer has it sittin on his lot. Otherwise, he has no real incentive to deal unless his only goal is volume. That technique would probably work better at your Honda or Ford dealers.

: I am interested in purchasing a new M3, I believe that I prefer the E36 to the E46.
: Will the E36 be available in 2000? If so, does anyone know when the 00 will be available for order?
: What kind of discount can I expect to negotiate on a 99 or 00?
: Any other thoughts or advice to a BMW novice?
