I'm not sure when they should turn on.. but I can say that I don't remember a single occasion all winter long that they came on! We had a pretty mild winter, but still. I remember thinking as I looked out of my frozen snow covered side view mirrors..."when will this thing thaw out!".

: 1998 E36/1999 E46 Heated Mirrors. When are they supposed to turn on? Manual says 37 degrees F. We know they don't work this way. Also, are they on separate temperature sensing circuits (i.e. they turn-on individually)?
