Sounds like at least a better deal than I got... April of 98 I ordered an Estoril/Grey/Blue top 98 M3 Conv from a dealer here in PA. I chose to purchase, not lease. Since I was one of the first orders, I ended up paying full sticker- and it is an auto ($1,200 MSRP option). Full price was something like $51k. I tried to haggle, but at the time allocations were very tight at all the dealers I visited in the region, and the dealer I ended up buying from was able to get me a quicker delivery date- took about two months, and I took delivery on June 29 (just in time for my annual trip to Newport, RI for 4 July!!!!).
I have noticed that a couple of dealers nearby have at least one conv in their showroom, so I imagine that if they have one in stock you could get a slightly better deal. But your right- it is summer, so they are in demand! Also, there is no guarantee that BMW even offer another M3 conv based on the E46 platform!
PS. Even though I paid sticker, it has been worth every penny!
98 M3 Conv.
: I went to get a M3 convt and no dealers could get me one until August. I really rather have it before the summer. Anyway one dealer had two coming in within the next 3-5 weeks. Both are Tit. silver on black

: M cont II wheels
: ///M mats and key rings.

: 1) I have never leased before, so is there any thing I should haggle them for or negotiate any prices.
: 2) Can I do better, this car is in limited quantity and it is the summer time
: 3) Should I expect less than MSRP
: Thaks for any input
