Don't do it! You'll may laugh at my advice, but consider it anyway. Take your 11K and find a very nice 92-94 Nissan Sentra SE-R, affectionately know as "the poor mans M3". The car is little known (the SE-R variant) but has a huge following by those who were smart enough to buy one (check out www.SE-R.net). The SR20DE engine is near bullet proof and has more than enough power (140hp/132ft lbs) to propel a 2600lb car. I owned one for 7 years that I bought in 91 and traded in in 98 for my M3. There are also numerous mods available at a very reasonable price. Insurance is also the same as a regular Sentra which is a huge plus for a 16 year old. Check it out. Oh, and it's not a Honduh (no flames please)!
