The only time I ever used mine on my 320i was on long highway trips (SF- LA). If you do these semi-frequently and really like a perfect-looking car, get one. They also make ones with a flap coming up, this uses drag to keep it pushed down onto the hood, and also keeps the windshield relatively free of bugs by diverting the air flow to above the window. If you do decide to use one, *MAKE SURE* you wax the hood well (2 coats, completely dry) where you are going to put it on. This will prevent it from damaging the paint. Also, it is a bad idea to leave it on for extended periods of time, because it will make the paint fade at a different rate, and will look funny. Good luck!
