The course was offered by RussellRacing(.com) at Sears Point. It's a tad expensive ($675) compared to other schools, but I think it's worth it since all instructors are professionals.

We had tons of fun in class. There was 1 Viper, 1 Ferrari F355, 1 Morgan, 2 911s, 2 Boxsters, 3 M3s, 1 Prelude, and 1 Integra.

: Curious: "performance course" meaning "driving
: instruction"? If so, whose? Opinions?

: : To readers:

: : I took my M3 to Sears Point (High Performance Course) a few days ago, and was told to turn off the ASC for better traction. I have a few questions regarding that.

: : 1) Why does turning off the Stability Control offer better traction around the track?

: : 2) Would turning off ASC on the street offer a better launch? For 0-60mph or for 1/4 mile.

: : 3) At what RPM do you normally start your street launch?

: : 4) Does anyone really remove their spare tire to get rid of the extra ~40lbs?

: : Thanks.
