I go into the VP race fuel center (argon oil in Redlands) to pick up a few gallons of 103 octane. Guess who I see? Same supra. We meet, the guy just finished writing a check for just under $100! "What the hell did you just get?" He runs STRAIGHT 117 Octane (since he has no catalytic converters). My estimate was right too, around 550 Horsepower at the crank. This other guy with a Viper GTS (I asked about it) is running a 200 shot of Nitrous Oxide. What's going on with my city? I was one of the faster cars, now I suck ;-). Anyways, he invited me to a a car club meeting this evening, at Uncle Howie's, a local Pizza joint, to meet these guys. My friend with a 240HP 1.8 T Audi Quattro and I might just go in say hello. I'll let you guys know if it was interesting at all....CYA>PABLO.
PS, right now I have 1/2 tank of fuel with half of that 103 octane. Stuff feels gooooodddd....happy driving/safe weekend boys and girls..

: : First off, flamers not allowed: THis was done on four lane blvd at night, no other cars around, each direction divided by thick row of Palm Trees, on the outskirts of the city...

: : Well, all I know is that my M3 got WORKED last night by a Supra with single turbo conversion. First he ran normal/cruising boost, probably around 10psi, and I smoked him off the line, and then not until flat out in third, approaching 70+mph did he catch and pass me (he also had total of 3 people in there). Mind you this car was automatic. As we both let off the accelerator, an instant later he BLASTS forward (from like 65 up to 85mph), and then the next light comes up. I'm like, Ok, that looked really fast. What the hell just happened??" Next thing I know, I approach the light, gun it while still rolling (my car ain't slow neither, JC\10 lb flywheel\SS DTM\Intake\Sh shift\minus 100 lbs), by the end of 2nd gear this guy must have been 4 car lengths in front of me! The exhaust, you could he the wastegate going crazy, sounded like the whole exhaust system was going to blow. I was just laughing, approached him, and give the "turn the dial" signal to say, "added more boost, eh?" He smiles, "18 psi..." (That's a ton for a big turbo). I'm sure he was pushing over 550+HP, especially considering how quick the car was as an automatic, with an extra 500-600 lbs of cargo...truly amazing, those tuned supras...
: : As a side note: I have a friend in Miami with AA Stage II/Gen II M3 Turbo 6sp, 460hp/trq, there's no way he would have beaten that supra. I never got smoked this bad. Quite hilarious...PM3
