i am getting the impression you and the orignal post are asking 2 different things...the original post was asking if you can replace the rear wondow switches to get the auto up/down...it sounds like you don't like the location of the switches (personally i think the location of window controls make so much sense, i dunno why BMW moved them on the 5er)
