Concealing a V1 (archive)

I saw a post further down with a link to a company that installs a concealed V1 in the rearview mirror. Since I do not live near that install site, I'm in Utica NY, I was wondering if there is an alternative solution to concealing the V1. I was checking out the V1 site and they have a remote display, but for optimal reception you still need to have the box on your windshield or visor. Does V1 or anyone make a dash mounted display with unobtrusive sensors that run to the windshield and rear window? I want the V1 quality, but would rather have the display mounted in the empty tray behind the shift.
