First of all, I was responding to Sean C's request for information about the Grand Cherokee. Some people are interested in safety and if he is, he should have that information.

Second, if you bothered looking at the test results, you would have seen that the tests are not done at 70 mph and they aren't running into semi's. They are tests to show what you could expect if you hit a car of your same size and weight at 40 mph (we all drive at least that fast and in NOVA where I live there are accidents constantly).

Third, I don't own an M3--my boyfriend does and I absolutely love it. I'm considering a 5-series (excellent crash test results, by the way) or an X5 (which I would also review for safety before I purchased).

Crash test results are important for some people (not for you, apparently, or you are just upset that you bought a marginal vehicle) but it's one thing many people consider when buying a vehicle.
