In Reply to: PERFORMANCE OR STOCK?? 97 VANOS M3 HELP!!!! posted by NEEDS CAMS!! on October 05, 1999 at 19:28:11:

Don't pay for a F**kin thing!! This is purely a waranty issue. This happened to my M3 as well and is not an uncommon occurance. Unless your car is out of warranty I would fight tooth and nail. The nut was not put on properly and that is why it fell off!!!! If you want more info please email me.

: I need to make this choice by tomorrow so anyone please help!!!!! This damn oil pump drive nut had fallin off and caused a loss of oil to my cams. They are now SHoT!!! Scratched, pitted ....totally SHOT!!
: Do I buy New Stock Cams?? Whats the pros and con's with a Performance Cam??(Vanos) I hear alot about the performance cams(vanos) really kick in at 4,000rpm? Whats the $$$$ price of stock compared to performance?
: tomorrow I will be ordering one or the other so please Reply!
: Thanks
