what bulbs for euro lights (archive)

I recently purchased but have not yet installed euro headlights on my M-3. Can I use 85 or 100 watt H-1 bulbs without burning up the wiring? Will the relays accomodate the higher wattage bulbs? Please let me know your advice about and experience with such bulbs.
