AA Chip Installation Questions... (archive)

I just received my AA chip along with the intake and exhaust, but unfortunately, the instruction on replacing the chip isn't very detailed... Do I need to disconnect the battery before I unplug the factory computer for the chip removal??? (It's a 95) Can anyone post the step by step instruction on this subject??? Thanks...
