: On vacation a couple of weeks ago I drove down a couple of dirt roads and through a few puddles of dirty water but didn't think anything of it until I opened the hood. The engine compartment is filthy. Some of the puddles I drove through were obviously deep enough that the fan picked up some of the dirty water and through it all over the engine compartment. Even the top of the engine is dirty. Any suggestions on how to clean this up? I don't need to get it spotless but the way it is now it looks like crap under the hood.
