: I am on limited funds right now, I am in college. I would like to buy a used m3 probably a 95. Most of the cars that I can afford have at least 60k+ on the odometer. I have seen some m3s with around 100k in the high teen price range. I wanted to get some feedback from some of the owners high mileage cars. I know it will need the routine matinance but, what are your experiences with a high mileage m3? Would anyone recomend buying a m3 with that high of mileage? Thanks for your help.

I bought a 95 with 54k from a dealer and within 2 months the car needed front suspension (control arms) catalytic converter, breaks all around (pads + ) and a water pump. Also a switch for the reverse lights and a rear defroster. The best part of all this is the car was purchased from a dealer and it was a certified pre-owned vehicle with a 2 yr or 100,k warranty so all these things we fixed at their expense and I got a loaner from them to drive while the repairs were being done. The car is a 95 and has all options and I paid 26,500 for it. With all the repairs done to it I think I did allright when you consider the loaner and dealer support.
