I beleive your stock M3 wheels weigh around 22-25 lbs each. Manufacturers like Fiske, IFG, and SSR all use hot or semi solid forging to create wheels weighing between 16-18 lbs each. I think the effect of this improves acceleration and braking noticeably, and they look very nice. The same effect could be acheived with a lightweight flywheel if you don't want to switch wheels.
