as you probably already figured out, the knob is $50.50. shipping would be around $8. as with the x-brace group purchase, this group purchase would only be good for people outside CA, with people inside CA paying a little more. i'll have to find out what the CA price is later on. currently, only the high polished version is available. the matte finished one, which is in bmw's parts book, isn't on the market yet. this knob IS a original bmw part, not a third company aftermarket part. the knob retails for around $80-90 and you should be able to pick one up at that price t your local dealer. it takes a few days for pacific bmw to recieve the part as they have to special order the part. it will then take about 5-7 days for the part to arrive to you from pacific bmw. this knob is solid aluminum, and will heat up on a hot day as with any metal knob. it will also get cold on cold days. all you have to do is let it cool down. not unlike sitting on hot leather. to the best of my knowledge, you will be able to use any bmw shift pattern piece on this knob. all you have to do is pry off the one already on it and replace it with a piece of your choice. it is not illuminated though. for those of you that do want
the illuminated shift knob, i will be selling mine after i get this knob. if you require anymore information, just mail me and use the subject "Shift Knob". i will not recieve emails with anything in it as my filters will sort of junk mail. as soon as we have enough people, i will finalize the details. happy motoring.
