: I know that ideally, one should get the adjustable front splitter in combination with the adjustable rear LTW spoiler. I like looks, so I was thinking about purchasing a LTW spoiler. But would the rear spoiler w/o the front splitter have any adverse effects on the performance of the car? I go to driving schools whenever I get the chance, just wondering if the spoiler would cause problems aside from extra weight and reduction of top speed (by 3-4 mph as I recall).
The weight and reduction of speed wouldn't be the problem. You would have more downforce on the rear so your already understeering car will have even more understeer, something I wouldn't want. The spoiler only comes into play at 80-100mph so it would affect your car in high speed turns like at the track, you decide. There are other things to upgrade on these cars before bothering with wings and spoilers in my opinion.
