I saw the car last night and it was not as bad as the service manager led me to believe. It will need a door and a skirt but, I really don't think there is any other damage. It seems that the lot boy somehow(??) smacked the passenger side door off of something leaving a nice dent on the door and a few scratches on the skirt, however, it was not driven off of anything so as to cause damage underneath the car. The car is white, a color that is fairly easy to duplicate in my estimation, so I am expecting no problem. I am not going to rag the stealer by name on this board unless the car is not well repaired. I like (and still trust -- can you believe it) the people I deal with there and mistakes happen. The stealer has gone to bat for me in the past on other matters. I will be looking for some type of compensation though, free (preferably) or an insane deal on M contours perhaps (like I buy 1 or 2 at cost and stealer provides the rest). Does anyone know dealer cost on them?? Sincere thanks to all who responded with advice and/or good luck wishes.
: I dropped it off this morning to have my snow tires mounted and just got a call from the service manager informing me that somehow one of the lot boys drove it off some embankment or something. End result -- it needs at least the passenger door and the side skirt. What really burns my a$$ is when they offer me a wagon as a loaner. Did they wreck a wagon? I don't think so. Now the guy just called me back to offer a Jetta. Can you guys beleive this?
