I have a couple 2-inch long semi-deep scratches right near my driver door handle from a break-in. My Insurance Co. has covered me for a total door repaint and blend if needed. However, I don't like the idea of repainting the door of a 6 month old 99' Silver M3. My Dealer Bodyshop guy has filled, buffed, and polished these so I can check it out tomorrow. Obviously, if it looks bad I'll repaint, but I'm interested in hearing some opinions...Will repainting hurt resale value more than a couple fixed up scratches? Being a silver car, I'm hoping the scratches are covered up enough so I can get my M back on the road where she belongs.

Thanks for any input!

Tom
