Depends on the build date of your car. Newer 95's use the 96+ head unit. Pre 10/95 use the Alpine 5 (which I have). So you may have the wrong CD changer.

If the above isn't true did you plug in both the data and power wire for the CD changer?

: I just bought a stock cd changer for my 95 M3. I mounted it, connected the power cable and data cable, but the head unit doesn't see the cd changer when I press band.
