racing, is when i ran the 12.4. it seems that the later it gets, the faster my car goes. i think that my car does not like the vht that is on the track. the later it gets, the more worn off the vht is, therefore the faster i go.
the red 240 was some guys that are from spec r tuning- the place i had my dyno run done last week. on one of my last runs, the guy who helped on the dyno asked me to take him for a ride down the track. he liked it alot!!!we ran a 12.8 with him in the car.
i will be there tomorrow night (friday) instead of tuesday. im normally a friday racer, but during the holidays, they were closed on fridays but open on tuesdays. i will probably be getting back into the friday routine since i have kids in school and work. jon caldito
from the board will be there too! i hope this cool weather holds out and that the air is dry fri night.
now about you and your car,,, do you have a chip to match the more free flowing components such as intake, and exhaust? if so, you will probably be under 14 with a little practice. 1st you learn technique, then you finesse it. it takes a while to learn your car too (this may sound funny if you've owned it a while, but you have to try different things to find the best way)
different launch rpms, different shift points, etc. joe, who had the red supra tt tuesday also owns a few other cars: twin turbo corvette, 911 TT, and a 95 bmw. his bmw is similarly equipped as yours. dinan intake, chip and exhaust. he has run in the 13.7's. even if you run in the 14's, dont be disappointed, you have to have somewhere to start and then you improve upon that. just think, ive run a new car record every single night ive went out! soon that is going to be difficult to do! i still need to get tires that will stick and i need a 3" exhaust system, and then a quaiffe lsd. but then im done (or so i think). but hey, i should be deep in the 11's by then. not bad for a daily car.
can you come friday instead of tuesday?
tommy

: I enjoyed meeting you at DeSoto and seeing your car run. Unfortunately yesterday the fastest time I saw for you was 12.66sec 1/4 mile, I would have loved to have seen your previous faster time. I am curious to see how fast my '99 M3 will run, I have a Remus Exhaust, Dinan Chip and Dinan cold air intake. Bilstein Shocks and H&R sport springs. My car rides on Yokohama AVS sport tires, just like you. I have not taken it yet, because I dont want to be dissapointed with an over 14 sec. quarter mile time, it definately feels fast, just don't want to be crushed by bad times. One thing that makes me laugh is how people see your car running down the dragstrip and say you are on the bottle! When I teel them your car has a turbo, they don't believe me. BTW, did you see that 240sx twin turbo running 13's, ugly, but fast, it smoked them in all the gears even 4th.

: Well, I'll see you down there next Tuesday.
