thanks, I will try it, just so I can improve.
: Carlos - I'm not sure what you'll run, but I'd like to say that fear of running 14's shouldn't keep you away from the drag strip.
: I'd like to point out something that many "first timers" aren't totally solid on:
: Your MPH at the end of the 1/4 shows you how fast your car is, while your ET shows you how good a driver you are (and depends on track conditions).
: Assuming you don't botch any shifts, your MPH should be relatively consistent. If you run 14.x @ 105MPH, you know you have a car capable of running mid 13's, you're just having a hard time launching it (which can depend on track conditions to tires to your nervous clutch foot).
: So I say, go to the track, see what you can run. If it's only 14's, well, that's an excuse to go back and try again! :) (One of my worst times was a [email protected] - with a 3.2 60'! Wheelspin all over, that what happens when you accidentally dump the clutch at 5.5KRPM - not an M3, BTW)
: And on the subject of tampaturbo's turbo - um, can't you *hear* the turbo? I've never seen a turbocharged car that I couldn't hear the turbo spooling on. Anyone that doubts he has a turbo should be clued in by the sound, a dead giveaway to anyone with any experience. Turbochargers and superchargers both have very distinctive whines, while NOS doesn't do much at all to the pitch of an engine (just makes it more frenetic).
