I had this problem Have you been over any bumbs lately? I hit a pot hole and the light came on. it has to do with the sensor. It still works but what it is is the circuit. My mechanic took my through everything. When you first start it it checks all circuits. As it come to the air bag it lights up, then it does another check and decides its ok so it goes out. I think it stays on for two minutes (120 sec) or something. Have the dealer check it and tell them to get the fault code. This will tell you exactly what it is. Your air bag should be fine and function properly.
