Hi Matt,

I have the JL Stealthbox speakers in my '99 Coupe. They are being fed with a PPI PC2300 amplifier off the factory HK headunit. I am very pleased with them. They are nice sounding with tight bass. Nice fit too and no lost trunk space either.

Keep in mind that BMW cars have a very tight trunk compartment with virtually no "channels" to get the bass into the cabin area like most other cars. That's what makes the JL Stealthbox speakers so nice! You don't need near the size speaker/s or power using the JL Stealbox speakers. I have also heard some people say their "boxed" subwoofer/s sounds a little muffled probably due to the tight trunk.

Now to take care of my front speakers and dump that terrible HK amp! I'm going with JL component speakers and a PPI PC4400 amplifier. Good luck with yours.

: I have the HK stereo system and am looking to add a subwoofer. What might be a good one to add, and what might it cost? Any good shops in the Fort Worth/Arlington Texas area?
