If you have Yokohama AVS Sport or BF Goodrich T/A KD's, they'll have a "yellow" dot painted on them. The dot is the light point of the tire. You align the dot with the air valve stem (which is the heavy point of the wheel, the area around the hole is reinforced with extra material). This reduced my wheel weights from 27- 1/4 ounce to just 13 for the set. It's called weight balanced, match mounting; for speeds under 150mph. Most unbalanced shimmy will occur between 45 to 55mph.
Michelin tires don't have this quality assurance feature on their "retail" sale tires.
The Yokohama's also have a "red" triangle; this is for "radial" run in/out match mounting; for sustained speeds aproaching 200mph.
